19 Jan Share Dog gives hope to pet owners by Prakash in Canine Cancer Blog No Comments MIRACLE dog Cain may now be living on borrowed time, but his courage and determination is giving new hope to owners and their pets. Five years ago the Rhodesian Ridgeback cross was diagnosed with bone cancer in a front paw and underwent major surgery to remove the leg. Vets warned his concerned owner, Wendy Davidson from Hereford, that Cain was unlikely to live more than 12 months beyond his operation and chemotherapy treatment. Though the gentle giant is now an elderly 16 years old, he has defied the odds having survived a remarkable five years.
