A sweet golden retriever named Maverick has been battling lymphoma for a year, losing the use of his hind legs, but still fighting through multiple rounds of chemotherapy. When his condition took a turn for the worse and his lymphoma returned, his owner, Joey Maxwell, decided to take a special trip through town.
Maxwell wrote the touching story on the Lowe’s Home Improvement Facebook page. After he and his wife, Allison, picked up Maverick from chemotherapy one morning, he had the idea for a wagon ride around town.
