Neither of us knew she would be a sports dog but she lived for it. She was the best team mate. I had no clue what I was doing but she rolled with it. The vet told me she needed a job and so we started agility when she was 2 years old, Flying Dogs Agility was our 1st ever try, she officially retired IAC SSS Agility Bronze. She had titles in AKC FastCAT and CAT, USDAA, and ASFA.
Grace 1/MAY/2016 – 28/NOV/2024 Grace was my quiet, not-so-quiet presence of joy and security. She was all heart and that’s where the hemangiosarcoma targeted at 8 years old. Some of my favorite photos are of her working because it was the exact opposite of her at-home house elf. I said the moment she passed through PVC she became a different dog. She adored people and would throw herself into everyone for pets and cuddles. Grace was almost a year old when she came to live with us, we never really knew her story.. She bounced through a few families before she landed with us and adopted Payton as her kid. Kids grow up and Grace finally settled on me as her next challenge. She became a lure coursing Champion, titled in Agility in USDAA, ASCA, and UKI. (FastCAT Photos by Mark Baer)
