In May 2021, Dexter was struggling to breathe. I rushed him into the emergency veterinarian where they aspirated fluid off his heart and lungs…. Further diagnosis on May 26th 2021 confirmed Dexter had canine heart cancer. I promised my fur son that I will stand by him and fight with him every step of the way. On February 23rd 2022, I woke up to find Dexter struggling to walk and to breathe. Again, rushed into the emergency room and it was that night, I had to make the hardest decision a best friend has to make. Dexter gained his wings… after having to again be aspirated, being put on oxygen but I vow… I will forever fight canine cancer in Dexter’s honor. I love you forever and always Dexter Oliver George

Taz was an amazing lab/rottweiler mix who loved his kitty Taco, all food, snuggles, Bob Ross and Journey songs. He was gently going into his senior years- nearly 12 years old- slowing down, taking more naps, but still up to chase a bunny and enjoy a “puppachino”, when a tumor in his belly ruptured. It was the hardest thing to say good bye, but he went in peace, in our arms, listening to Journey after giving Taco a final kiss.

Rocky was experiencing slight hind-end lameness. His vet treated him for a spinal problem. We even took him for acupuncture. When he started having gastrointestinal problems, they were treated separately. On his last evening, we took him to an emergency vet who did an exam and asked how long he had prostate cancer. The mass had grown so large that it affected his nerves and blocked his intestines. The next day, his whole back half became paralyzed and after a terrible decline, we had to end his suffering. It is a shame when vets aren’t familiar with cancer symptoms. Read the literature, check your dog.
