At 11, Layla had her first surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Over the next 5 years, she had many more surgeries and fought cancer each time and never letting it stop her from enjoying life. At 17, she passed away from old age, having beaten cancer 3 times. She joined her brother, Gus, in heaven who lost his fight with cancer in 2018.
