Daisy Mae, a spirited 5-year-old golden retriever, was diagnosed with tongue cancer (fibrosarcoma) that required the complete removal of her tongue (a total glossectomy). Despite the challenges, Daisy’s resilience never wavered—before or after surgery. Initially, there were concerns about her ability to eat and drink independently, but now, two years post-surgery, she enjoys life without any restrictions. This photo was captured by her dad, who happens to be both her veterinarian and a photographer.
