Wherever there was water, there was a happy Nala. With me for almost 14 years, my baby forever she’ll be, Nala was truly that once in a lifetime dog. Canine cancer reared its ugly head at us Christmas 2022, and took my baby April 2023. However, her life was much bigger than her diagnosis as it was just a blip in our final chapter. No matter where life took us, we always searched for the water: a soothing, calming element in which we found fun and joy. Even through her osteosarcoma diagnosis and palliative treatment, she smiled the whole time welcoming anyone she met with love and a sweet kiss. I miss those sweet kisses and that smile everyday, but she is ingrained in my heart and forever a part of my soul. Until we meet again, my sweet girl.
