A dog owner whose pet fought her way back to health from canine cancer has used her experiences to raise an incredible £100,000 for research into the disease.

Animal lover Jayne May feared the worst when her beloved golden retriever Zoe was diagnosed with stage three lymphoma in August 2013.

Zoe was 12-years-old at the time and her future looked bleak.

Jayne, from Nailsea, had returned from a three day judging trip from Belgium to find all of Zoe’s glands were up. Concerned she quickly took her to Watkins and Tasker vets in Portishead.
